Question by Cameron: How to set up a Local area connection with a crossover ethernet cable? Me and my brother want to connect our pc's for local area network play in a video game. We have a blue crossover cable. We connected it to our computers.. What do we do next????????????????????? Best answer:

Nothing, it will use Zero Conf and just give both an address and communicate like that. Make sure obtain ip settings automatically is set for both and tada.
